Spectrum HIPS-X is a highly durable filament designed for 3D printing using FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling)/FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) technology. This material excels in its high impact strength and impact resistance. This makes it suitable for printing parts that need to withstand demanding conditions and partially absorb energy.
HIPS-X is most commonly used as a support material when printing with ABS. After printing is complete, the support structures made of HIPS-X can be easily dissolved in a D-Limonene solution. Additionally, HIPS-X can also be used as a primary printing material with low shrinkage during cooling.
Main product advantages
- High impact resistance: Spectrum HIPS-X provides exceptional impact strength, making it an ideal choice for demanding industrial applications.
- Matte surface: The matte surface makes the layers less visible, improving the aesthetics of printed parts.
- Low shrinkage: This material has a lower shrinkage rate than classic ABS, ensuring better dimensional stability.
- Fully soluble in D-Limonene: After printing, the support structures can be easily removed by dissolving in D-Limonene.
- Mechanical processing capability: HIPS-X can be easily sanded, turned, milled, and drilled.
Uses of Spectrum HIPS-X
- Support material for ABS printing
- Industrial parts requiring impact resistance
- Prototyping and conceptual model production
- Artistic objects and sculptures
- Packaging material
Low hardness makes HIPS-X easy to work with even using hand tools. The material can be drilled, turned, milled, and sanded after printing.
